Xbox One: Im ganz kleinen Rahmen! Details zum Xbox FanFest auf der Gamescom 2016 bekannt gegeben

Eines der absoluten Highlights der Gamescom im vergangenen Jahr war das Xbox FanFest. Neben einer exklusiven Veranstaltung für 500 Fans, direkt nach der Xbox Pressekonferenz, wurden alle glücklichen Teilhaber sogar auf eine Bootsparty eingeladen. Also alles richtig gemacht. Nun steht die Gamescom 2016 an und auch ein Xbox FanFest ist geplant, doch mit einigen Änderungen.

Das FanFest in diesem Jahr ist für nur 200 Fans bestimmt und somit bereits deutlich kleiner und intimer als im vergangenen Jahr. Zudem wird es keine Bootsparty oder ähnliches geben. Vielmehr werden am Mittwoch dem 17 August überhaupt erst die Tickets, nach dem Prinzip "First come, first serve" ausgehändigt. Wann und wo genau wird erst kurz vor knapp über die üblichen Social-Media Kanäle von Xbox bekannt gegeben.

An Veranstaltungen sind einige Tagesaktivitäten über den Mittwoch hinweg geplant, wobei auch dazu noch Details ausbleiben. Das große Event steht am Donnerstag Abend an. Ab 20 Uhr bis etwa 23 Uhr läuft das “Xbox FanFest Showcase” direkt am Messestand von Xbox statt, wo Spiele in Ruhe gezockt werden können und auch einige Überraschungen bereitstehen. Zudem lauft ihr garantiert einigen namhaften Entwicklern und Managern aus dem Gewerbe über den Weg.

Selbstverständlich gibt es auch in diesem Jahr wieder eine prallgefüllte Tasche mit Goodies auf den Weg. Was genau drin sein wird, wissen wir aber noch nicht genau. Auf dem FanFest der E3 gab es zumindest für jeden Teilnehmer einen Gutschein für einen eigenen Controller aus dem Design Lab.

Is there an age-minimum to attend Xbox FanFest: gamescom 2016?

Yes, every ticket-holder has to be over 18 years of age. Parents with children under the age of 18 will not be allowed. We will require a valid, government-issued, picture ID (driver’s license, passport) as part of registration.

How many Xbox FanFest tickets can I get?

One ticket; one person – tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold.

If I’m traveling to Cologne, are there hotel accommodations?

It’s up to the individual to pay for their own travel and hotel accommodations.

What if I can only spend a couple of days in Cologne; can you tell me now what the other surprises are for the rest of the week?

FanFest activities are only on Wednesday August 17th and Thursday, August 18th.

Will the 200 fans get tickets to attend the Consumer Days at gamescom (Thursday – Sunday)?

Xbox will not provide tickets to those days.
